If you start doing it, most of the time they won't come and ask you not to take pictures (mostly because you are a Gaijin and they don't speak English a lot).īut I'm not really comfortable with having this attitude and I don't know if I would be able to do it, but that's what I heard. I've heard that the common policy on taking photos at public events or in stores in Japan is "take the pictures and don't ask".īecause if you do, there's a 98% chance that they'll say no. and I'm sure I am not the only one who would love to see more of those.

Not being authorized to photograph such events or places are probably some of the reasons why pictures of the arcade game centers of the 80 and 90's are so scarce nowadays. Too bad thay asked you to stop, we could have had a nice collection of decent photographs of original Japanese cabs in their original environment. Wow ! Nice pics that must have been quite a sight to behold when you went to that 6th floor at that time. A4 is the standard paper size and is often used for smaller posters, flyers, or informational. A3 size is commonly used for smaller posters, such as event announcements, classroom displays, or artwork prints. I'm a married man and have my own view on what should be done on my days off.Įdit: For clarity, a couple people requested over 5 for just themselves. B2 and A2 sizes is smaller and often used for medium-sized posters, such as movie posters or decorative prints. I'm a pretty laid-back guy, but I don't appreciate requests for 5+ plus posters, and acting like me going to get them for you shouldn't be paid just because the event looks interesting to you. This means I'd have to go with a friend whose schedule matches mine, and matches the time slot available to go. Six-sheet movie posters measure 81' x 81' and are printed in 2 sections that are designed to. The posters measure 41' x 81' and make a dramatic impression when framed. They are printed in either one or two sections. I'm not going to be the bumbling gaijin going in there buying 20 posters even if I was allowed. Three-sheet movie posters are from the United States and were used both in domestic and international movie theaters. Because this is a limited-time event, THERE IS A LIMIT on what I am allowed to purchase. It will take at least 4-5 hours of time for me to go there and back, buy the poster tubes and boxes, make the slips, and then take them down to the post office.

These tickets are sold for specific days and time slots. It is a ticketed event (1500 yen, must be purchased days in advance) plus it costs 1000 yen in train fare.

Please don't message me about getting one of these unless I announce I am going. I need to vent a little about this because I've got a few rather selfish-sounding messages about these (along with some polite ones).
